20 GB on a laptop is sufficient for normally everyday use.
For me the most important aspect is Memory (RAM) which is the speed at which data and information can be found and processed.
20 GB is fine for making documents etc... but I would not suggest gaming or large files.
The norm for laptops now is around 40 GB but again depending on the use of your laptop this depends on how suitable 20 GB will be.
With 20 GB I would suggest that you run system tools such as Disk Defragements often.

unless u are going to use Heavy Games and Applications ..the Space is just of no use..
For a Normal Laptop with windows xp/Office/Adobe/ and some multimedia players.. 10Gb is more than sufficient.
i would suggest u to :
either Re-partition
Or use Partition manager to Resize the Partition
***Imp: in either process , u need a thorough understanding of Disk and Partition Structures...or u may end up loosing the data..so seek Expert's advice

On a laptop it's not the best you can get by a long way, but it's not too bad.
For general use (ie. not editing movies or installing brand new games) it should be fine.
Upgrading laptop hard drives is expensive, so i suggest if your not running out of space, just to leave it be.

Nope, but I suggest you divide it in to 2 partition, eg. 10 - 10. First 10 for Windows and other program, and second 10 for DATA.
Why ? when your windows goes bad, all you need to reinstall it without having worried about your data, because your data at second partition.

It depends on what you are going to use your laptop for. If you're going to put several large programs on it, then it is a bit on the small side. If you're using it mainly for Internet browsing and email, you'll be fine.
