getting married is a huge committment. some get married out of high school or even after college, but doesnt matter, most end in divorce. my aunt and uncle got divorce after 40yr of marriage.
I have been living with the same person for 17yr. feels like being married. just not with the paper.
my 3 older sisters got married when they were 18yr and 2 are divorced and the 3rd is not happy in her marriage.
so, for my opinion. I think there is no "perfect" age for marriage, or any reason for marriage, when you can live together as such. dont have to claim on taxes. and in your will you can claim who you want.
3 most important things in a relationship or marriage:
1) communication--talk to your partner and say the truth, dont always think they know what you mean.
2) respect-- each person needs space of their own, and time to be with friends(but not hundreds of time) a few times.
3) truthfulness--tell each other what you would expect from the marriage(relationship) and from each other in ALL aspects of marriage(money, housework, handling children, or having children, and most important---sexual needs) most of these are the reasons why people get divorce or leave the relationship.
4) how often each spends with family or relatives and when.
they never sat down and talked about them, they thought it wasnt the right time. but at the very beginning is the best time or before getting married,
this way- each persn knows what to expect and no one can say that they didnt know.

good luck, and talk to your partner about everything before getting married.

We can only go by our experiences , that is up to the 2 people, some are mature enough at 21 and some 30 and you have some who married 18 ,some are together and some are not ,you just can't put a age on it

There is no perfect age. I certainly wouldn't say the earlier the better. Every relationship is different!

Ever heard the expression "married to his / her job"? When you are sure you have reached that sort of commitment, then perhaps you are ready. Forget age, it's capacity and emotional maturity that counts. Examine yourself, make sure that "can't live without..." was not only good for a week.

there is no perfect age, what is important is how mature a person is, if we are marrying someone hoping to complete ourselves, or because we need someone to depend on than we aren't ready yet.
