My novel centres around two characters, a fiesty but down trodden girl and her best friend, a fiercely loyal and moody guy and the events that led to the moments at the train station between the trains they've gotten onto and the minutes and not the distance that seperates them. It also has a side plot to do with three people that they encounter at the train station and how their appearance at those moments will adversely/positively influence future events as a mere cause and effect.
How does it sound? And what I cannot decide is whether to set it in first or third to tell the story? I've tried both and cannot decide which works more effectively. Opinions, comments?

It sounds like an intriguing idea. I would read a story like this. Have you seen "Run Lola Run"? If not, I recommend it. Your plot line made me think of that movie because there are flash points where she encounters people, and they show what happens to them in the near future. Depending on the needs of your story, you can use both first and third person omnicient point of view. You just have to make sure you do it thoughtfully and carefully.

Good luck!!

Sounds ok, but I'd have to actually see your writing style to figure it out. As for POV, I know I can't write first person. Think ahead and if the story needs to be shown through another's eyes at any point, don't do first person. It can get messy.

It sounds like a great story. In my opinion you should write it in the first person to make it more effective, I think first person reads better than third person. But that's just my opinion, it's your choice of course.

Other than that, it sounds really great!
