I think the two biggest things we can do are:
1) promote alternative fuels - hydroelectric power, biodiesel cars, etc.
2) combat suburban sprawl - develop our communities such that automobile travel is not the only viable option - people should be able to walk to the store to get a gallon of milk, kids ought to be able to ride their bikes to school, trolleys and buses should be viable modes...but that requires us to develop more compactly rather than all the cul-de-sac subdivisions we have now

Use our Own. We need to quit being so stingy in providing the American public with our own oil.

for out gov,dont want to use the oil we have here ,we got ouild well cap off,but too,they wish to buy from them

THINK and WORK .. you have alot to do instead of planning how to get life materials from other countries and kill their people ..
