I hate the show COPS. I cant even watch it without wanting to break the TV. I'm white and, yes, I live in what many of you would call the 'hood or "ghetto". The reason I hate this show is that this really goes on. I can walk out of my door and, because I live in a poor area, risk being stopped and harassed by the police. I know lots of white people think that cops are good and that they are there to help but this is not the case. Many of them simply enjoy hurting people. You must understand, you don't have to be guilty of anything for them to bother you. You can just be there and that's enough. Yes, I live in a high crime area and guess what? The cops are not making it better. I would never call them for help. I have guns, I will protect myself. If you love cops then try living in an area where they look you up and down all day like your nobody. See if you still like them or that racist show.

here we go again with the whole black community thinig, not all of the black community is bad, just like the white community isnt all good, get a life, and open your eyes.
its the media and the government that is racist in my opinion. all they do is show us what thwey want us to think of each race, they want us to think whites are racist. so what do they do, they show black racial attacks and not the other way around. they wanna make it seem like blacks and hispanics are all bad, so what do they do they show us only the negative. in consequence we start to believe what we see!!!

No. Snopes and Politifact cleared up this rumor. short version clarification: "Rumors have circulated hence of reality a minimum of 2009 claiming that the Fox ideas cable television channel fought efficiently in court docket docket for the perfect suitable for lie, mislead, or mislead travellers. The declare that Fox ideas legally gained the "certainly to lie" has been repeated around the cyber information superhighway regardless of its being factually defective on more effective valuable than one factor. The meme actually centers round a lawsuit pertaining to to a Florida Fox-owned affiliate, no longer the nationwide community or cable ideas channel. The case at hand did not contain the nationwide Fox ideas cable channel (the case drastically PREDATES the Fox ideas cable channel's modern-day-day 24-hour coverage. also, the activities that led as a lot because the "Fox lies" case weren't with connection with the station's on a daily basis programming; somewhat, the offender conflict to which the rumor refers grew to develop into right right into a pair of husband-and-major different reporting team (Jane Aker and Steve Wilson) who objected to being in contact in an unaired tale about bovine advance hormones (BGH) hence of what the pair believed grew to develop into right right into a organisation conflict of interest. The newshounds claimed they have been unfairly terminated from their jobs for "resisting WTVT's tries to distort or suppress the BGH tale. We got here across no ideas that the Fox affiliate admitted that it lied with connection with the ideas it finally presented, and we easily got here across no ideas that Fox ideas as an total admits it lies. jointly because the Fox affiliate argued that it has the perfect suitable for fashionable-day the ideas because it chooses, it’s extremely a leap to point Fox as a television organisation defended some certainly to "distort ideas comments" -- diverse than in a hypothetical adventure to quash a wrongful termination more effective healthy."

I'm not sure what COPS you are watching, but I've seen plenty of people of all races getting busted on there. Perhaps if you are watching for a certain reason, you are only seeing what you like.

I think it is because it only shows poor people being arrested. Just poor white and poor blacks commits crimes, the riches ones no...Hypocrisy! It sells the image of poverty being synonymous of dishonesty. Cops arrests any criminal, even those wealthy ones...but those are not gotten on tape and become a TV show, otherwise, the show would be sued by some kind of violation by the expensive lawyer's that their rich clients hires.
