I try not to think much about the past or the future. It takes all my attention to try to focus on the present. It is possible that I will fall over dead the next minute, though not likely. It is certain that I will die at some time. I fear living out my last minutes hooked up to machine and suffering in an Intensive Care Unit. Sudden death from a stroke or MI seems to me to be preferable.
