You should call the Small Business Administration... I have heard that they offer a seminar that is really cheap (about $30) and they will teach you what to expect when starting your own business plus they can answer all the questions that you may have...

There are local and state regulations to be followed. Go talk to the people who issue the occupational licenses iun your area and they can adivise you.
