Everybody has told you how to it, but not one person has mentioned, MUST switch off the Flash drive off BEFORE you remove it from the USB slot. When the data is being transferred a small LED light in the Flash Drive flashes. Wait about 30 seconds after the light stops flashing. Then if you look in the task bar and you will see a small icon that looks like a small box with a green bit above it. Do a righthand click on it. and it will bring up a dialogue box. In it it will say something on the lines of "removable storage device". Highlight it and click Stop. This might bring up another one with a list. Click on that to hightlight it. Then click again either Stop or OK. Then remove the Flash Drive from the USB. If you don't do this you will corrupt and damage circuits in the Flash Stick and you will be unable to use it again thus losing all the data on it.

If you have winXP you should be all set. Once you connect the drive to the USB, you will have to open a file window to the drive in MY COMPUTER. You will see a drive that isnt normally there. I can't tell you what it would be called as you're information isn't very detailed.
If you are using Win98/ME/2000 you will likely have to install a driver before your system fully recognizes the flash drive. If you are using one of these versions of windows, check the flash drive manufaturer's website. You should be able to download the appropriate driver for free, unless your version of windows is not supported. Unfortuately, more and more new products are not supported by versions lower than xp/200/nt.
I hope this is helpful to you. Good luck.

Just right click the file you want to send to the flash drive and when you right click you will find under sub menu, 'send to': the letter assigned by your system for your flash drive. If your not sure then check under my computer. Of course you could otherwise open your drive in my computer and drag and drop in your files.

I found the best way is to go to WINDOWS EXPLORER and on the left click on the files you want to save and drag or right-click copy them and paste onto the flash drive drive. I found it works fast and the best.

Just hit the "Save As" button and Windows will ask "Where". Tell Windows to save it to your flash drive letter. My flash drive is recognized as "E" on my laptop and "J" on my home computer. Hope this helps.

If your computer is a PC:
Click on My Computer. It must show as "Removable Disk (whatever letter)". Click there, and then just drag and drop.
If your computer is a Macintosh:
The icon will show on the desktop as an orange hard disk icon. Click on it, then drag and drop.
