i go to court in a week to see if i am considered common law married to my ex boyfriend...he's never called me his wife and we've never shared any checking or savings accounts...we've never filed taxes together.....please say a prayer for me that the judge will believe my truth instead of my ex boyfriends lies....
he already lives with his 2nd ex wife in a house she bought in Dec. 06 and i just find it hard to think that he can get away with lies whent here is no truth to anything....i would never say i'm married to someone without a wedding.....it's just nuts......

where do you live ? hardly any state in the union has common law anymore . If you were just living with him that is not considered married . I would think that marriage would not even be considered without a marriage license . If common law is still in effect please tell me where cause I dont know of any states that still practice this . anyways good luck and I hope I helped.

Have you the evidence ? did your husband agree to the marriage vows ? Has your husband signed any legal marriage document in the court ? How do we know what is the truth ? If there was a wedding, where and when ? Who solemenised ? Prayer may help, but legal formalities are the best.

i thought that common law was eliminated unless it had already legally been declared before the new rule was passed...maybe it was just here though. good luck regardless
