If you mean the Enigma music project, Michael Cretu is Romanian and Sandra Cretu is German.
I think they live on Ibiza.

Michael Cretu was born in Bucharest, Romania, on May 18, 1957.
He lived and studied classical music in Bucharest, in 1965. Then in 1968 spent time in Paris, France. From 1975-78 he earned a musical degree at the Academy of Music in Frankfurt, Germany.
On February 7, 1988 MC married, Sandra Lauer (also born on May 18th)
.. They now reside on Ibiza, a Spanish Mediterranean island. Their twins, Sebastian and Nikita were born July 6th, 1995
