I hear your observation and understand your conflict with it. Is it any different than other years? I don't know that. Please keep looking for the person to talk to though. I'm sure you'll find them. Good luck.

This is a great question. I too wonder that at times. The local government will spend millions of dollars to rescue abused and neglected pets but willnot spend that same money to rescue abused and neglected children.

In certain communiities, if a cow falls down a side of a cliff, theywill spend lots of money to helicopter lift the cow. That money could be used in better ways.

And then you get the people who die and leave their dogs and cats in their wills. They actually leave money so people could care for their pets. The most crazy thing is that the people they entrust their pet to will ACTUALLY do it!

Not a fair statement at all...

In India they feed rats in a temple while people starve to death outside the walls of that very same temple.

In China, fathers kill new-born daughters because they have a limit on how many children they are allowed to have.

In Africa, women are enslaved, enthralled and sometimes physically mutilated so they cannot run away.

In the Middle East, people are allowed to die poenly because of the feeling that they deserve their fate because of the status of the lowly birth. The 'Caste' system.... alive and flourishing wnen it should have died out centuries ago.
