I have a broadband connection from my ISP to my office via a fibre optic link. I pay for a 128K link but my link is slower than my dialup link at home. There are no other users on my network.

Visit http://www.dslreports.com and run the test. Then look up the speed that others in your area are getting.

Spyware often slows down your computer and internet bandwidth. You should have an anti-spyware solution on your computer. I recommend that you go to http://www.download.com and get AD-AWARE and SpyBot Search & Destory. Install, run, update and scan your computer with both programs.

These are cleanup tools. Ad-aware cleans files, and SpyBot cleans the registry

Good luck and Happy Computing!

There are websites you can search for which will measure youre bandwith for you...just search around and type bandwitch meter...measure my bandwith etc etc...you should get lots of choices...a lot of those sites measure other diagnostics of youre pc and they will rate who youre computer's bandwith farred with the standards

Try Cnet.com and search for band width tests. They have several options. This is what I use.
