In the U.S. they didn't make the CB550K in 81.

I have an early CBX550 if that's what your after,they never made a 550k model there is a CB500/4 of which i have one also race kitted for classic racing i want $2000 NZ each for them they are both excellent runners and the 550 is street legal, I can also get most parts and a manual for it

A regular Honda dealer should be able to tell you anything you want to know. However, to find a group of people who are into old bikes look into the Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club

try calling 714-554-9555 oc motorcycle salvage maybe you can find a clymer or chilton manuel thay are helpful good luck

get a manual first of all. clymer sells them, for starters.

then the internet will be your best tool for shopping on price, location, and availabitlity

if your in the UK you could look up David Silver motorcycles they specialise in older Honda's.
