Your question has made it look like the Mexicans are trying to get into USA by risking their life for a better future (lol)! Are these the latest Psychological warfare mounted by the intelligence wing - RAW of India?

In fact, if you come and visit Bangladesh then you may find that we are much more happy and content than the Indians from the 7-sister provinces of North-East Indian states, though we may not match your progress and prosperity.

This is true that about 10 Million people crossed border back in 1971 when the Pakistani military junta waged genocide on the then East Pakistani (Bangladesh now) population and India came to our help for many reasons, one was humanitarian.

So, naturally all the Bengali speaking people of the then East Pakistan did not return to war devastated Bangladesh after our victory achieved on 16th December 1971 and they along with some Hindu population remained in many cities and villages bordering India.

Now, after so many years of their 'illegal' stay in your great country these people got their 'naturalization' in India the way your and other South Asian people are getting 'naturalized' in USA and such developed countries of the world.

How do you feel when your families in above developed countries where they are residing for some decades and all on a sudden asked to 'go back to India' or shown 'you do not belong here' type placards?

The GDP and GNP of India and Bangladesh are not at the same ratio as those of Mexico and USA. Therefore, do not act like a real SNOB and pose such questions to show-off that India is overflowing with milk and honey and Bangladeshis are waiting on cue to jump the borders. This is what your politicians and press (both print and electronic) wants you to believe to get through their heinous agenda.

By the way, the Indian bogey is also being used by some of our politicians and press (both print and electronic) to achieve similar selfish gains, thereby dividing the people of these two countries from becoming friendly neighbors.

Have a nice feeling as the saying goes: "... Love Thy Neighbour would break down barriers"!

We are ALL immigrants of greater or lesser degree. For example, I personally am a 3rd generation Canadian. My father's mother was born in Manitoba in 1890. So I am a Canadian, with an immigrant past. Even those people we consider indigenous personnel had ancestors that immigrated to this country thousands of years ago. So, the whole world's population are immigrants, except for maybe just a few black tribes in Africa. I was reading a book recently that had as it's surmise, a forced equalling of the world's peoples, by mixing all breeds and colours into a homogeneous whole. And then getting rid of religions. They surmised that it began earth's final world war, which was the springboard that launched humanity to the stars (in order to escape earth's destruction). I would rather see us solve our problems by becoming tolerant of all our different colours and different religions. We all want freedom of choice. We should all realize that we need the freedom to not have other people's choices foisted on us!

Perhaps you know that The Bangladesh Government and a large section of their intellectuals are supporters of the theory of 'Labensraum' which means acquiring neighbouring less populated lands by densely populated nations as a will of god and natural law. By this philosophical theory the ruling BNP and their coherts have declared their intention for formation of Greater Bangladesh by acquiring whole of northeast India including Assam, West Bengal and parts of muslim majority regions of Bihar. This is the reason that the Bangladesh government supports their citizens to cross over to India and settle. When caught Bangladesh never recognises them as their citizens and declare them muslims of West Bengal who are culturally same. This is the root problem and nothing except forceful pushback can control the problem.

The only solution to Hindu, Buddhist and Christian Minorities of Bangladesh mostly Dalit Rajbanshis and Namasudras can be solved by annexing northwestern Bangladesh and merging the area with West Bengal after resettling them there. They are brutally tortured by the majority community sponsored by Bangladesh govt who regard them Indians and want to get rid of them to acquire and grab land and property.
They have a black law "Enemy Property Law" which forcefully acquires land of minorities who flee to India to escape torture, rape, loot, etc. They number a huge 2 crore double the entire population of Jammu and Kashmir but we are still obsessed with Kashmir. Annexing and merging this region with India would strategically help India to a great extent by widening corridor to its northeast and controlling tribal terrorism there. It would also help development and growth of the entire region.

Maybe you can set up booby traps along the border or build a long, high wall with guard dogs and patrols everywhere.
