In regard to princess's answer: My husband's name is Paul William, it means small protector, it's funny cause my husband is really short and he's in the Army. I think it suits him, don't you?
Anyway, yes I've said something that I thought would be witty or funny, and an erie silence followed. When it happens to you, it's like the last thing you said is still ringing in your ears, and you just want to disappear for a few minutes.

Yes, we were discussing name meanings, and someone said that Paul means small and weak, or something like that. I said "As if you'd name ya kid Paul then" Little did I know there was someone in that circle of people named Paul ( i'd never met him before, nor been introduced) everyone just stared at me like was really evil.
