My father killed himself nearly twenty years ago when he was 71. I didn't know he was depressed, didn't see it coming, although I was a psychotherapist. It's still something of a mystery, although I have my theories.

When someone is determined to suicide, it's difficult to stop them. We can't blame ourselves. I'm both angry with him and feel sorry for his suffering and lack of coping skills.

Yes my aunt did commit suicide.
The main reason why anyone commits suicide is that they are fed up with a certain problem that has made them feel frustrated and annoyed.

The problem might be small but to them it is a very big one as they cant find a solution to it...
however someone might take the decision of committing suicide when
1. They think that the problem might cause a lot of embarrasment.
2. They just dont have enough courage to fight back.
3. They think that the problem is beyond a solution.

When we are stuck up with something we get annoyed and suicide is the state of extreme annoyance, a point of saturation after which you intend to just end it up.

Its like you find a virus in your pc and try everything in your hand to get rid of it and when everything fails you either format it or buy a new pc.

Formatting is starting in a new manner and buying a new pc is like suicide....

Yes, my brother od'd on drugs at a young age. Was a very tragic thing and I didn't forgive myself for years because I felt responsible for not being able to make him happy.
He was suffering from depression, alcoholism, and drug use from a very early age. He finally got tired of life, I guess and just did it. He left a note behind, that's how I know it was a suicide.

People who do this are severely depressed and need help . They just feel there is no other way out.

Yep, a friend and neighbor. Hung herself, her boyfriend ran to our house after cutting her down. My wife and I are both x-ray techs so not knowing the down time we started CPR. We got her nice and pink(from a shade of purple-blue). The EKG the paramedics ran was flatline so we were too late. We understand why but we're still angry at her. She knew she could ALWAYS come over and talk. She had a lot of demons so to speak.

It wasn't your fault. It was their choice. You didn't fail them. They should have thought about how their easy out would hurt those close to them; this was about them, not you. They felt overwhelmed. They have no worries now.

It's OK to feel mad at them.
