We rely so heavily on this new Information Age internet where anything we want to know is just a few keystrokes away. What would losing the internet cause for our society?

Almost noone has their own dictionary, thesaurus, or encyclopedias any more. Can this be a good thing?

It's good in some ways and bad in some others. I still own a dictionary, because I don't always have the computer on or connected, and it seems silly to connect to find one word. I still have a Thesaurus, too. Hardcover, I might add. I've never owned an encyclopedia, because I always went to the library to do research. The Internet saves us a lot of time, but I think it is making us lose some skills, and I think written language is starting to suffer for it. Just look at some of the postings around here! It seems also everyone can type, but few can write in cursive script anymore. That's a shame, because getting a handwritten note is much more personal than a printout.
