A person can die or even live if he/she fall from the third floor. Its Depends on the ground to which he or she falls, the part of the human body comes in contact with the ground( head can cause severe or deadly damage, hence causing Death) and most importantly, the shock level the person falling can withstand. That is, the person would die due to shock of the incident, letting the person die before he or she hits the ground.

landing or course sand can resist the fall from the third floor to about 85%. But, sprains and flexes causing the tendons to stretch can cause damage to the human. And landing on grass has a risk of death to 90%. As depending on the weight of the falling body and the 'g' (acceleration due to gravity) at that point.

Yes and No. There is no definitive answer to this question. Strange phenomonon happens everyday. Like stated before you could live or die in that type of fall. Could you land on your head and live? Most likely not but consider that steel pole going through a mans head and still alive. So I would say probably 99.9 % of the time die if lands on head or neck and a good chance of just getting seriously injured or even peralysis if just to fall and land elsewhere. Have a great day.

I would guess that if they landed a certain way, say on their head or neck, this would probably kill them. I jumped off a 3rd floor balcony ( I was drunk many years ago and thought if I used a patio umbrella I would float down...its amazing how stupid one could be when drunk!) and I sprained my ankle...

It depends on how they fall or in which position they reach the ground.
