ha ha - I laugh because i keep telling everyone this, but visit the following site - there are tons of good ideas.
And anyways, what's sexier than cooking a good meal (or ordering it and keeping it warm if you don't cook) for your guy to take to the hotel with you.
Find out if the hotel offers any type of in-room services and late night dining options... and depending on where this hotel is and the atmosphere outside the room, you could even go for a romantic midnite walk before heading back to the room!
Some hotels can also prepare the room in advance for you, for a small fee... flowers all over the bed.... candles ... chocolates? you could do all this beforehand as well to make sure its perfect!
I'm sure he'll be quite content with the surprise and in just having you with him.

There are late night restaurants in Dublin. Check on the internet. I am sure on Valentines night you will find something or ask in the hotel you have booked

My 5 3 hundred and sixty 5 days anniversary is February twenty first, a week after Valentine's. we've one newborn, 3, and yet another on the way. SO, for us...we decide to stay away for the nighttime. from time to time that's even in our city...purely different atmosphere. somebody else cleansing up after us for a metamorphosis...warm breakfast...those are luxuries anymore :o) stay in a lodge with a pool or stumble on a astounding mattress and breakfast on your area. they are in a position to be very intimate and much lower priced. We many times stumble on a place with a jacuzzi interior the room!

Hi - last year we had an amazing thing done...I sent a photo of me and my lovely wife to a company in Australia called http://www.directartaustralia.com.au and they
painted a wonderful oil painting on canvas...it only took 10 days and the art can be sent all round the world. We changed the background to an open poppy field...it was great. Highly recommended and affordable.

why waste a hotel room on a few hours and then sleep. be realistic and plan it on his day off maybe before valentines day. then just keep it simple on v-day. like just a card. you've got the best of both worlds. plan a night where you want when you want.

If all else fails, you could go to a nearby shop and buy cheese, fruit, and other foods. That would give it a bit of a personal touch. Since he's in Dublin, maybe you could get suggestions from him as well.

There is always the option of eating out late. Most restaurants will be busy that night and prepared to be open late.

Have some lovely romantic food delivered to the hotel room. It doesnt even have to be to heavy if its too late for you to eat. How about oysters (or other nice fresh fish), chocolate fondu, strawberries. Im sure he will love whatever you do for him. Have a lovely time!
