Us Indians feel so, but is it true? Whats do the statistics say? Or, its just a fall out of a more connected world....

There is reverse brain drain actually.
Which is Non Resident Indians (NRIs) are coming back to India, as the pay is almost equally good, and they get to live among their own people.

Clickherex, mebbe I am deluding myself, & mebbe I'm not. Do you remember, last month the US signed a nuclear treaty with India (after getting it through Congress) allthough its not a signatory to NPT.

Don't delude yourself, the Americans are interested in oil, trade and security threats; Pakistan is a country they are more interested in, along with Iran and North Korea. Europeans maybe.

Well, i will go with "anne j" and "penphone" answers. Though penphone is not much correct. i would rather like to say. that the serveys conducted in India say that in the last yr that is 2006 it was the doubling of the enggineers flying from india to US than that of the last decades i.e 1996s records. Also people working (indians) there, say that in many offices and centers its like they dont feel being in US its very much like India all indians arround. So, its not that the US ians, Europians ans Others interested in them. But in ther BRAINS and TALENTS. Cause after all development in tech and other fields is must whether you do that with your people or by taking others from elsewhere. This should be the mentality of everyone For a NATIONS DEVELOPMENT. Also i dont agree with that email added cause even if they areTRYING too come back they are being stoped or if they are coming then not cause of the "equal pay" but due to "tired now, wanna be home" reason. Please note. Very few are coming back.

Yes very much. Many Indians are migrating to these countries because of better pay package and living conditions. In this process the host countries are enriching there talent pool and India is getting depleted the talent pool.

Only from an Economic point of view. India has many highly educated workers and is very suited to outsourcing from our IT sector.
From a cultural point of view, I doubt it. India's caste system, massive poverty and high levels of corruption don't stand in its favour.

Do you not notice that everytime you call for help on your computer or credit card, you are talking to someone from India. It seems the USA has found another way to outsource.
