we are created in the 'image and likeness' of God and whether one accepts it or not, God breathed His spirit into us, and when he had created the first man commanded him to be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth. He breathed His creative spirit into us so we only have to pause from the rough and tumble of daily living and be a bit reflective during the day and one would be surprised how innovative one can think and be, just like the writers, artists, artistes, and creative types at ad agencies do.

Brain waves.
In 1924, a German researcher named Hans Berger discovered that electrical voltages emanated from the brain.
1. Alpha - 8 - 13 hertz - conscious, aware, alert - eg. while in a state of relaxation or catnapping
2. Beta - 13 to 26 hertz - logical and deductive - active, focussed, conscious attention - eg. while watching a match, reading a book, doing classwork.
3. Delta - 0.5 to 3 hertz - while asleep or unconscious.
4. Theta - 4 to 7 hertz - when a person is falling asleep or waking up - spontaneous, dreamlike or hypnotic.
When your brain is generating Theta waves, or when you're in the Theta state (interlaps with the Alpha state), your intuition or creativity is expressed.
I will explain this way. When you are completely relaxed, sit back on your chair or lie back on your bed and close your eyes, is when theta waves start to flow, thoughts come to your mind which could never come any other state. This is the brain state in which creativity surges. Anyone and everyone is capable of attain these creative surges just normally or with simple, easy practice. Controlling brain states is done through meditation, prayer and other very simplistic means.

generations past used to call that "the muse", a flirty spirit that takes hold in you imagination and leads to creative activity. Some psychologists will tell you that it is an inherent part of all of us, as we are in the image of God, to create something.
