If this is for a college project, you might want to check the college library. They may have access to such publications as Journal of the Political Economy or Economia. These publications, as well as a variety of others, are considered scholarly journals and have articles on a wide range of subjects. You will likely be able to find an article that gives a good jumping off point for your project. I did a project on infrastructure in Papua New Guinea and was able to find resources in there, and my sister, also an economist, did a project on farmer field schools in Peru. I'm sure that somewhere in these journals you will be able to find something on your desired subject.
If this isn't for a college project but you have a college nearby, perhaps going to the campus and seeing if you can use their academic resources would be a good idea. Generally, they will allow you to do this, since they want to maintain good relations with the community around them and they are always on the lookout for prospective students.

News paper articles are not authentic for a project work. Better you go to a library or search the Internet. Hindu publications on agriculture may give some general hints.
