Ok my sisters friend is half cast, her mum is black and her father white. She wants my sister and her two other white friends to go to pretoria this xmas. Both my parents are worried because of all the stuff that goes on over in South Africa to white people. Can someone who knows pretoria please tell me is it safe for a few 13 year old white girls and a black girl to go there.

Hmm, whereabouts in Pretoria? Like roaming the streets or what? There is a much bigger police presence in Pretoria than the the rest of the City and so I would think that it is safer. I am sure that if they are wise and they stay out of trouble and be aware all the time, they will be safe-but in the end, 13 year old girls should usually have some sort of supervision, especially in the times we are living in! Hi, Pretoria is actually more friendly to whites than blacks. I am intimidated by Pretoria, however, my boyfriend, white, enjoys it there. So we have to go from time to time.
They do have to take precautions, the same that you would take in London or New York. There is no safe place out there. But then again, why Pretoria during summer, they won't tan, they will burn. They must try Cape Town or Durban, or Margate or even Mozambique. I know its another country all together, but it is gorgeous as well.
They should enjoy themselves though in Pretoria.

D'ONT ever let them go there if you don't want any terrible thing happen to them. Even for adults (black or white) it's highly dangerous!
