Hello
I want to emigrate to romania with my fiance.
Trouble is emigration out of the uk seems to be alot harder than entering the uk - so my question is - has anybody done it before? If so - where would i start? Are there companys out there to help? Are jobs easy to find (i have started to look)? What about housing?
Please help!

If you and your fiance are UK citizens then it's no problem for you to immigrate to Romania, because our country has joined the EU in Jan 07.
As for getting a job, it depends on what degrees/experience you have. I have to warn you that if you don't have a high paid job your standards of living will go way down ...
For example, the average wage in Romania is about 230 euros and the average rent for a studio apartment in Bucharest is 250!
Even individuals who earn up to 1000 euros find it hard to live in the capital ...
If I were you I would think again about moving to Romania.

I do not know about Roumania, but I guess moving to Romania would not be much more different than moving to Bulgaria. Naturally, the most important thing to decide is how you are going to support yourself there and this depends on your profession. You might have better prospects at starting your own small company in Bulgaria/possibly Romania/, than looking for employment. Then you need to decide what kind of life you want - would you like to live in the capital, in a city, a small town, or in a rural setting; in the plain, in the mountains or close to the sea. Then you can start looking for housing. Initially English will be OK, but some knowledge of the local language will certainly improve and expand your contacts. Good luck!
