Because she's damaged goods. Indian men only want virgins, and having a kid is a pretty sure sign that you're not one.

Dear friend, do you really think that men are open minded when they are ready to marry a non-virgin girl or a divorce??? Sometime back I read a question where a girl complaint that her husband does not like her to hang out with her ex-Boyfriend so is not open minded … if you say that men who wish to marry a virgin girl or say a girl who did not had any boyfriends to be hypocrite then what will you call girls who wish to marry rich boys, I mean is it wrong to wish something??? Or do you want to say that it is ok for a girl to wish for a husband with a fat bank balance but it is wrong for a man to wish for a virgin bride, it is ok for a girl to wish for a husband who does not drink or who does not stay with his parents so she does not have to take care of her in-laws but it is wrong for a man to wish to be the first and the last man for a girl … So do we call those girls a hypocrite or does this word have different meaning for boys and girls?????

I don't think that mentality is exclusive to indian guys only.
If I was single and on the prowl, I'd probably avoid a woman with children......figuring out women is hard enough, let alone tossing children into the mix.

Indian men are not alone in the desire to marry someone without prior physical, emotional, or legal entanglements.
If they are sexually liberal themselves, going about deflowering virgins, this makes them hypocritical (and not good marriage material IMHO).

the lady it appears made a mistake in her first marriage///// not saying she was at fault//////-every one of you here answering this question have made mistakes---its a damned shame that some people place thierselves above others -----this girl deserves a chance in life---------------indian guys are no better than any one--it appears that an indian guy was the one that got her were she;s at---she didn;t do it by her self

I think that's a bit of an over-ruling statment - I doubt it applies to _every_ "indian guy" out there...

I'm american and I probably wouldn't want to marry one because she tried it before and for one reason or another it didn't work for her. I wouldn't be against having a relationship or sex with one however, I would just be a little leary of the legal commitment of marriage
