The Princess Royal was on tv talking about global warming and all things politically correct so I'd be interested if the hat she was wearingwas real fur (the result of some poor creature giving its life to sit on her head!) or fake. I understand nowadays fake is just as good and difficult to tell the difference.

I have heard that the royal family wears real fur. They can afford the best for certain. They are too smart to heed PeTA nuts who worry about other animals much more than fellow humans. Only such retards as Pamela Anderson and Alec Baldwin repeat PeTA nonsense. I was once called "PeTA Enemy of the Month". I am trying to make it for the century, but Jennifer Lopez is ahead of me now. I only have a fur collar on a lambskin Navy pilot's jacket, while JLo and the royal family wear much more fur.

They certainly wear real ermine on their robes, and I imagine they do have other items of real fur. In the late 90s press photos of the Queen breaking a pheasant's neck caused some disgust, to which she responded by wearing a pheasant feather hat to the opening of the Cambridge Divinity School a few days later. So I don't think they're ones to back down over criticism from animal rights people!

If she was speaking against global warming, then it would make sense if she was wearing real fur.
I say this because fake fur is a petroleum based product, which contributes to air pollution and, therefore, global warming. Real fur doesn't.
Incidentally, fake fur is by no means hard to spot. All you have to do is see how it moves in the wind, or simply touch it.

It's probably a mixture. I only wear fake fur. Wearing real fur is just horrible.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was real, remember they used to take part in fox hunts.
