There is no problem at all in having two parties in India. Only thing is that every body wants to Rule India by hook or by crook.
Therefore all are trying to show their majority and power and forming numerous parties.

I agree with you that we must have only Two or maximum of Three political parties. But the constitution of India allows any person any time to start a new political party and hence we have so many political parties in India.

The main problem is the large size of the country. At the time of the independance, our constitution makers must have thought this point & opt for the Multi-party Political system. It may not be possibel for only two parties to aptly represent the interests, points of a country with such a diversity in language, culture, style of living, geographical conditions etc.

Ideally speaking there should be no problem except that most of the fixers surviving on money collected in the names of such parties will be jobless.
As also the electorate will need to elect leaders who can push it through.
Looking at the present where most can not think beyond self interest it can be termed a huge task though very much possible with positive will.

Nothing. It will be very good. There won't be any coalition and uncertainty of elections and uncertainty in leadership. This will improve the political and other conditions of India very nicely and India will become the nicest country. One term one party and other time other party . There will not be any waste criticism and craving for power.

Not necessarily 2 parties will fulfill the aspirations of crores of people. Multiparty democracy is best! Even in so called 2 party dominant polities like UK or USA numerous small multiparties function. In UK third party the Liberal party is quiet strong and captured 10% of seats!
