A friendship between opposite sexes need not always be on a physical level. Is having emotional attachment with a friend from the opposite sex infidelity? Is it only jealousy or possessiveness or insecurity....what is it?

we fear it because we have heard all about the other scandals and it is always in the back of our minds........in other words its insecurity all the way. if you are afraid of something you should sit down and talk to him about it but let him know that you just want to be sure he will respect you for that instead of just going out a following him or having someone else do it. Your husband will more than likely tell you there is nothing between them but keep an open mind to it and IF anything seems out of the ordinary just ask or tell him that your worried about him and you wanna help him if you can. but if there comes a day when there is lipstick on his shirt dont be afraid to follow him a little.

This issue comes up for many reasons, but surrounds trust issues. There is obviously trust issues between you two...maybe warranted or not. If he has shown you behavior as to which you need to be concerned, then you have a right to be. If he has not shown you any reason to not trust him, then you obviously are the one with the issues; jealousy or insecurities within yourself. the best answer for this issue is to communicate with your husband about your issue to see how it can get resolved. You both should be willing to deal with this with an open mind. Good Luck!

Easy, The trust is broken. He did not tell her, so it is assumed that he had something to hide. If it is someone from work, he should have told his wife. As for this new age bull that it is ok for married people to have friends of the oppisite sex, as long as there is no contact without the other knowing, and no "dates" there is no problem, but, I am a guy, and I can tell you this:

1. If a girl knows we are married or dating but wants to go out without our spouse, to a guy it means sex.
2. If our girl (married or GF) wants to go out with friends and it includes single guys or with a guy friend, no matter what, we will think cheating, no matter how much we trust each other.

If your in a commited relationship, find couples to do things with, it just makes life easier and with less mistrust.

Once trust is broken, it is never fully restored.

first of all: look how similar our avatars are..my god!

second of all: friendship between oposite sexes need not always be on a physical level, however, personally i believe there is ALWAYS (at least in the begining) some more (sexual) affection from man or a woman. it has to be, if nature made only "friendship" between man and a woman nobody here would be alive...

That is jealousy and insecurity in most cases. But if the husband has ever cheated on his wife, pays less attention to his wife, or flirts with his "friend', then the wife can be justified in being jealous.

Because women are just like men. They don't respect marriages. It's not the men they don't trust, It's the temptation of the man when he's the woman that they don't trust.
