Yes I think it will hurt him on the popular vote level because he is Islamic. It is not a good time for them right now good bad or indifferent? but if they treat him as a golden boy token maybe not? Maybe he will be their shining image of what a modern day Islam in America is and in our Government he might get groomed by the Democrats to represent us in those countries in Africa, and the Arabic countries like Jesse Jackson tried. And because Obama is a 50/50 that will help too. because it is hard for an African / American to get anywhere in Africa, there is a little wedge there? But a 50/50 might be like a Hallie Berry that represents an American a true mutt, with a clear case of non- prejudice? Also he is kinda cute? ha ha Obama could be the great white/black hope and we might be able to play that tune well. Unless there is another conspiracy within our government from the control freaks Amen

I think it will hurt that his middle name is "Hussein". I, for one, like him as a candidate, but I see him more in line as a Vice Presidential nominee this time. At any rate, he will be a force, is very popular, & having a name like "Obama" can be no worse than comparing it to the name of "George Walker". Voters will vote by issue, not personality this time around.

Personally I believe he has no choice because he has no experience, he brings absolutely no leadership background, and he has far left wing nutty ideas. Why would I give him any more consideration than any other politician with nothing to offer? Because he has dark skin and a Muslim name that does not give him a free pass.
