The U.S. will be the lead partner in cooperation with Japan and Europe. I'd say somewhere around 2020. This will be the last gasp of governmental dominance over space. By 2030 expect regular vacation packages to the red planet.

We are now just entering the true space age. The next boom industry is space tourism and other space industries.

Do you mean to send an astonaut to Mars? The United States, in approximately 10-15 years. But the big question is, WHY? What is there for us to gain by sending astronauts to Mars???

I guess it would be the Americans. Maybe they have money to sponsor research on large spacecraft to carry astronauts to Mars. I guess it'll be 15 to 25 years later.
