using xp home on a dell lost the print spooler .. careless i know lol.. but its gone and now printing is a nightmare, where can i download one from, iv been on microsoft site, they dont have it, they say try dell iv dont that they say try microsoft. iv been on download.com and cant find one, not sure what im doing or really looking for but any help would be great thanks .. help save my little pc from the bin :-)

hi thanks for the comments so far, cant system restore due to high amount of work on pc i need, it wont run the command prompt sc start spooler but just about to try the dave taylor .. thanks for the comments re download.com, at least some read lol x

You cannot download this from anywhere it is integrated into Windows Explorer.
The spooler service is normally set to Automatically start when you turn your computer on. Try restarting your computer. If that does not work:
Click on Start
Click on Run
Type cmd.exe and press enter
Type:
net start spooler

I didn't quite get what you meant, but if I were you, I would type the following command into the command prompt before using my computer as a projectile:
sc start spooler
This command will start the Print Spooler service if it has stopped for some reason.
