You can try using a difference defrager.

i.e www.tuneup.com that requires less space or delete more maybe by mocing to removable media ie CD, USB device.

The only other option you have is stop the system from automatically defining the size of your paginng file. change it to manual and a small size depending on tthe amount of RAM you have. But remeber to put it back ti automatic afterwards as your system perfermance will be degraded.

Delete more files or write some more files to a cd or dvd and then delete them.

something is stopping you doing it.
run adaware and spybot first (free) just type in the google box
then on start, all programs, accessories then system tools, click on disc clean up. run that then try and you should be fine.

Just override it if you can. Otherwise, do a hard disk clean up and that should clear some files.

back up a load of your files to cdr/dvd/flashdrive/external drive/slave drive etc and that should free up enough space.

ps: as it's your wifes pc , you will probably find it's filled up with msn conversation files from her friends-- did you know that...., what colour shall i do my hair...., what you wearing out tonight....., blah blah blah blah .
