It is by far the best dark fantasy movie I have ever seen. Beautiful and scary. This movie actually has characters you care about(Ofelia and her mother) or despise(Vidal.) It is very rare in this type of movie that the characters are this real. I saw Guillermo Del Toro's last "non Hollywood" movie The Devil's Backbone." It was very good but this movie is brilliant. What a great film maker. Too bad he spends so much time making stuff like Blade 2 and Hellboy. Oh well may be they pay the bills so he can make stuff like this. I saw the movie today and am already thinking about going to see it again this week.

Just saw it today. I was unaware that is was a foreign film as I saw little but clips with no dialog
and it was not posted in the theater I was at. I really did enjoy it despite the fact that my "lazy reader" daughter was complaining until I threaten her that her slumber would be cancled if she did not hush.

I loved the storyline but thought it was really graphic. It should have been an 18 but then I probably wouldn't have seen it. I thought the film was amzing, the scenery and fantasy elements were out of this world.

Im really bad i know, but i just got tired in the middle of it reading the subtitles. I would rather it be dubed.

i saw it expecting a lot as people said it was inspiring and special. well it wasn't for me in the least. was boring and nothing life enhancing!

Its not out wher I live yet but it looks amazing special effects look good too
