To do this properly would take someone with years of experience. Hire a good experienced bookkeeper or accountant as you continue your study.

You sound ill prepared for what you are trying to do.

If you set up the slightest thing wrong, you could accrue e.g. incorrect superannuation payments, and several years down the track the business owner could come back & sue you. I have seen this happen - a check box was not ticked - and $200 000 was paid out in supperannuation by mistake.

What software are you using? Check the softwares site for certified consultant, to assist you with the set-up.

Outsourcing firms may also assist you with the set-up.

You do not need to reinvent the wheel.

As with all things, u must start with a plan....and a system. Excell and MegaStat add ins abound. I would say look to your personnel and source ur own resourses and experience with the people u have. Reaching out into the net is iffy.
Questions and answers have to be ready instantly. No sense in wondering and waiting for replies. U need face to face help
