Is racism existant, even if only for reasons of equality?

(this is seperate from out and out racism, the apparent cause of the questioned racism)

ie

we hate "++++++" because we know they hate us

racism existed from the beginning of time. Hitler also believed in a superior race, hence his mad killings. I feel racism is more a complex, a inferiority complex. You hate a particular race because of a substantial reason, the jews for business prosperity etc. The recent case of Shilpa Shetty, maybe to snub a accomplished actress. Racism is a double edged sword and hurts both the parties, even the predators, who consider themselves superior. No one picks on a race that is totally backward.
