Can you have a pregnancy test by having a blood test?

Instead of having a pregnancy test, can you hav a blood test to see if you are pregnant or not and it shows that way?

You can also have a urine pregnancy test. The hormone that is tested for in the blood test is quickly eliminated into the urine so either test is equally accurate. This hormone increases quickly and is detectable in most qualitative tests as early as 6 days after conception.
