The men I dated in my past were always the type of guys I thought I wanted. They felt exactly like I did about everything. Religion, social issues, etc. But I found after a while that those relationships bored me. I always knew what to expect. Then I met a guy who is my complete opposite. After 2 1/2 years together we got married and I couldn't be happier. I've learned a lot about issues that are important to him. Things I never would have bothered learning about before. And he learns from me. Everyday is something new. So, my advice is to give it a chance. You might find out he's exactly the type of person you want and need in your life. Good luck!

Seems like you are broadening your horizons. He may surprise you. You may have quite in common if you find reasons to like him, even if he's an opposite view of what you want in a man. You must like him for SOME reason...
