With social security and retirement plans pretty much a non issiue for older families, many of Us (kids) are gonna have to help our parents live after they get to old to work. How many fear the day that they will most likely have to have one or more of their parents to take care of? (That is, the ones who respect them enought to even take on that responsability even though they do not want to)

I am thankful my parents are peaceful people to be around with. This makes it much more easier to welcome them into my home when they're too old to take care of themselves. (I have pity for people who have bitter parents who willingly 'darken the aura' of the household)

I don't fear the day when I have to take care of my parents. I just fear the day that might arrive when they're so mentally gone that it's gone beyond my help and I need a registered nurse who knows how to help them.

Well my mum had three kids, two of which will be able to support her at this present time. My dad has had 2 kids with another woman so I guess they are both set up for oldham. I'll happily help out my dad also, but my sister is currently a housewife so I think she's already set up for the task.

My parents are both coming up to their 50's now (I think) so hopefully I will have enjoyed the prime years of my life by the time they need my help. So I will be very much willing to give back what my mum (less my dad) gave me when I wasn't able to fend for myself.

The only thing I'm scared about is cleaning their rear ends
