The British Empire was the largest land mass governed by one overall authority under a palimentary monarchy.

The Mongrol Empire of Genghis Khan would be the largest land mass governed by a single person.

The Roman Empire would has credit for longest lasting empire, that governed the largest piece of the world (known at the time).

At its height the British Empire in 1922 it covered 1/4 of the land mass measuring over 14,000,000 square miles spread all over the globe with a population of 483,000,000. Where as Genghis Khan's Empire was the largest contiguous Empire stretching from Mongolia to Europe and measured 12,800,000 square miles with a population of 110,000,000.
