Short and 'right to the point' questions are good.

But you can have good long questions as well, especially when they're divided into short paragraphs,

and the first line or two have the main idea of the Question so you're not forced to read on.

Not despise, but rather will not read them. What's the right balance of pertinent information and boredom? Well, the longer it is, the more interesting it must be. Otherwise, it's too long!
