i went to one " interview" and now the primerica rep keeps calling me. Its really annoying. I told him i'm not interested in joing their team (i dont want work for them) he keeps telling me to comeback so i can find out more about the company before making my decision to work with them or not.

------You pay $199 to get a licence...which sucks...then... from what i heard, you dont make as much money as you thought you would!!

I know people who have done it but it's too pressure sales for me. After all that's what they're doing to you by repeatedly calling you. The guy who signs you up gets a commission on everything you sell. You may start out well but it slows down. I think it's a scam

If the rep want to meet with you tommorow, go meet with him. and unload a bunch of questions on him.

People who say they didn't make any money in the company is their own fault. After all, you are an independent agent and you have complete control over your decisions. Those who didn't make any money probably never got their license, was too afraid to make a phone call to setup an appointment, was not coachable to their upline, or left the day after they just joined. Other reasons may be the fact that they are lazy. The company won't punish you for not doing anything, but they will reward you for doing something.

Remember you are not working for anyone in Primerica. You are working for yourself to build a business in financial services and you will have a support system to help you build.

The $199 does sucks but where else can you build a business (whatever that may be) for $199? No where!

Anyway, its your decision on whether you want to get involved in the business. The Primerica opportunity gives people the chance to build a lifestyle they want and achieve financial independence.

You've already made your decision. What is it that you really want to know? If you have doubts, then don't do it. Do you really know what they do? No, it is not a scam. First of, if you have a felony record you can not join the company...They will do background and credit check before they sign you up. The $199 is for the life insurance license, basically, you go to a state approved 40 hours life insurance licensing course, then you have to go to take a state test(need money for test). If you pass, if you don't, you can take it again. Each time you retest it will cost you money.

With your license, as a new agent, you will get 25% commission of the total first year premium sales of a life insurance policy( if the premium is $425 a year, then, your commission is $106.25) This is a pure commission sales, meaning, if your client don't sign up, then you don't eat. Then, from having your license, you can work toward your securities license (more money for course and test, this is more expensive) to sell Mutual funds....Only, when you are at this point is when you'll see more money coming in, by now, you'll be at another level in the company....Your goal is to bring people in under you, once that person get their license, you will get an override (if you were at 35% level and your new agent gets 25%, you get a10% of his sales) the more agents you have under you, the more money you'll make. The idea is to get to an RVP level as soon as possble (they get 95% and override from all agents underneath him/her, the larger the spread the more commission you'll get).

Once you get your licenses, you can do anything with them, meaning you can leave the company and take that license to work for another company and local/state government job.

Call the agent back and tell him you don't want to waist his time by meeting him, because you're not interested and it is not for you..

Hope this will helps
