I have a h.w from my biology class and the instruction is to write an analogy to show the similarity between the animal cell part and the everyday object.

For example: The nucleus is like a brain because it controls and coordinates activities of the body.

A brick in a sky scraper
A stone in the tarmac

Cytoskeleton = One of those dome tents that allow movement
Mitochondrion = A nuclear power plant
Cilia - Flagellum = A paint brush
Nucleolus = Post office sorting room

Mitochondria are like the batteries of the body, they produce energy for usage in muscles and other body processes.

Cytoskeleton is the is like skin, it protects the cell's insides.

Cilia, are legs, the help the cell to move, or help organelles in the cell to move.

Hope this helps, dont use these but reasearch it.

Flagellum are also for movement of the cell

Nucleolus is the dark centre of the nucleus. contains the DNA, like to build molecules, Little construction yard.
