With the weird weather we are having I am not sure any idea would be good. We can now expect ice in L.A. and no snow in Alaska, so spin a bottle and layer your clothes!

If you want to move to a state that has the best weather, then I think you should consider moving to Florida. Before you jump up and say, "Hey! I said a state with no hurricanes!" hear me out. The bad publicity surrounding the hurricanes in Florida was all generated two years ago. Living in South Florida myself, I can attest that Broward County has not had a direct hit in many, many, many years that has caused such a ruckus that has occured. They predicted even more hurricanes last year and we had nothing. Even when they do hit, most are minor and are nothing to worry about, provided you are prepared. When moving to a state, you might want to consider all aspects as natural disasters are infrequent. Florida has amazing weather, warm all year round, and is a fun, interesting place to live. There is also a deficit of workers in the medical field and they are hurting for some new talent fresh out of college, so the work opportunity is there for the taking. However, when compared to a more rural place the cost of living versus average pay leaves something to be desired. I'm not saying you would live as a pauper, but you would definitely notice that basic living supplies are a tad steeper in price. However, working in the field you do would more than compensate for such trivial details. That's all I can offer to you, but let me just leave you with a mental picture of the beach on a steamy summer day. There's a price to pay to live in paradise, but I'm willing to pay it.

Have you considered Salt Lake City? They have lots of hospitals. Also, the weather isn't nearly as bad as in PA. We have friends that live there, and we are planning on moving from the south where we have tornados and hurricanes on a regular basis.

I guess you could move to Arizona, the winters are mild, but keep in mind the summers can be extremely hot. I'm sure there is a teaching hospital somewhere in Arizona that has a NICU. Good Luck.

I think being qualified to work in a NICU will pretty much have job openings everywhere. My wife and I are both x-ray techs. We almost went to Saipan for a job. Instead we took jobs at a small rural hospital in Oregon. Have fun finding "paradise" ....lol.
a very bored night shift x-ray tech

Even though this specific state has a reputation for really cold weather, I'd still say you should move to Minnesota. It's a great state!
