max speed is 60mph on motorways, easy way to remember hgv speed limits.. whatever type of road your on the speed limit for hgv's is 10mph less than what it is for cars ie dual carriageways cars 60mph, hgv 50 mph
All hgvs are limited to 56mph

well when its a 2 lane motor way and there's a hill and 2 trucks are overtaking each other its 59mph and the legal maximum 60mph.
And a very long wait to get by!

on a motorway the limit is 60mph the same is for a dual carriageway national speed limit a single carriageway national speed limit is 50mph these are the same speed limits as for a car towing a trailer or caravan
