crikey mate i think he should be knighted.he's not the only conservationist that contributed to the enviroment but he certainly put it out there and into a lot more ppl's thoughts and everyday life.

I think the most important thing you need to become a wildlife warrior is a complete lack of respect for the animal. Anyone who is a biologist should know the first rule of working with wild animals is to avoid contact with the animal as much as possible because it's best for the animal. Wildlife 'warriors' ignore this for fame and glory.

I was greatly saddened when he died. He so very much valued and embraced life. Lived life big. Yet, the story goes that he had always said to those close to him that he never thought he would live to an older age. Premonition ?

He lived his life as he did. Life happens as it does, both sad and joyful. Yet, look what a gift he left to all both of awareness of wildlife and how to live life in an embracing way. Smiles when I think of him.

He was a man to be loved. His passion to handle crocodile cost him his life. Animal lovers like Dr. Goodall for Chimpanzee research and others deserve their place in history. Steve Irwin has unique ability to entertain people.

I thought it was a big sorrow. He was a nice guy.

He did himself a disservice dangling his kid over a croc, but everybody got over that in the end.
