You are one of those smart girls who is embarassed to be asking additional questions in class? Promise me you will ask whatever it is you don't understand! Whether it is embarassing or not, if you don't understand something, ASK!
Your teachers will appreciate your candor, and the kids in class who are mature will appreciate the fact that you were brave enough to ask....most kids want to know the same things you do, but are too afraid to ask.
Don't worry about the kids who are bullies or make jokes about everything in class. They are only doing that to cover up their own insecurities.
