You're not alone in this. My boyfriend (age 23) absolutely hates wearing sandals/showing his feet. He considers it to be more of a feminine thing. From a woman's point of view... I find absolutey nothing wrong with men showing their feet and in some cases, it can be sexy.

Keep in mind, this is a world filled with people who have all sorts of silly fetishes, and by wearing sandals, you may run into the girl of your dreams who loves feet!

On a more serious note, if you feel your feet are ugly.. I would suggest you use that exfoliating granite/sandpaper-like rock you can buy at the store really cheap. Exfoliate your feet and use some foot cream. But really, I think you're just paranoid about it.. like my bf is. There's nothing wrong with showing your feet!!

My guess is that you are aroused by women's feet and toes, seeing them as a sexy part of the body. If you are homophobic (fear of homosexuality) seeing men's toes would make you uncomfortable. There's nothing wrong with being turned on by feet, but I would say you need to feel appreciation to God for everything. He gave all of us toes because they help us run, balance and are used as tools. Go get a massage and have the massage person (female) give special attention to your feet and toes. Try to relax and breathe away any fear or discomfort. A month later consider getting a massage by a male bodyworker. Tell him your feet are sore and need attention. Hopefully this will help desensitize you to toes. Love your body, love God, accept all beings as beutiful creations of God. Peace be with you.

that is common. i have an issue with feet too. i can't walk around without socks on. i also can't stand to look at others' feet (male and female).

I don't see anyone for my issues. It doesn't hinder me in any way.

Do what you think is best for your situation. I just don't think going to a doctor is necessary for this specifically.

PS- I especially hate getting my socks wet. That freakin' cranks my gears.

This is not typical for a young man. There is probably a reason for the underlying difficulty.
If this is bothering you, I would seek out a therapist.

no one cares to look at your feet. Once you realize it's not about you, you'll be better off.
