I think its kinda of funny people who try to be on American Idol know the judges so they should be ready for ANY kind of comment.show's kinda gay anyway nobody really talented has won yet Kelly Clarkson is nothing but a snob now and Carrie Underwood is doing boring a-s-s country they need to find someone with real talent and a good taste in music.I think I already know who's going to win anyway that Jordan girl they been talking about for the past 2 days she cant sing all that good more annoying than anything.Simon is just being truthful and sometimes the truth hurts sorry

I think that people who take part in the show already have some idea of Simon's criticism. Maybe what Simon is trying to put across to some of the contestants is that people will look for appearance as well as talent. He is just giving them the facts straight in regard to what it takes to become famous.

He crossed the line. Waaaaaaaaaay crossed the line! I think he should be made to apologize to that guy ON TV so the world can hear and see it.

For Mrs H 2b down below, he said the guys eyes were big and that he looked like a creature from the jungle or something rude like that. I'm sure somebody can find a link.

Stop watching. If enough people do that, advertisers stop advertising, the show runs out of money, and it's over and done with. Think you're up to the task??? Didn't think so. There 80 million channels out there... just watch something else.

Once again we celebrate "honest, straight-forward feedback" and are then surprised when someone says something forthright. Admit yourselves. If you were standing in a bar and someone of similar apperance approached you, you wouldn't have thought something something similar? Ugly is ugly despite what they say about beauty being in the eye of the beholder.

While many of the "contestents" are profoundly out of touch with reality and desperately in need of SOMEONE to break it to them that they are tone deaf and/or have no sense of rhythm, that's the only area which should be addressed when the judges criticize them.
