a mild winter is one that is not severely cold and snowy some seasonal products evidently sell more in harsh climate conditions like snow shovels for instance without snow they would not sell as well hence they are seasonal and subject to a mild or harsh winter whatever the case may be

The word "mild" in this sentence implies that there has not been the usually expected cold and snowy winter.

The mild weather is not the kind of weather needed to create good sales. Evidently the product would sell better if it was colder.
