mobile phones in china?

hey everyone , i just wanted to ask , does anybody know if phones /cellphones r expensive in china? because i want to buy a nokia phone the one that flips or whatever , because if the phones in china or less expensive then here where im living then i will buy on of the internet , thanks everyone! , p.s if u dont no the excat cost , please just give me a rough draft of how much u think it costs

Phones in China are pretty expensive. Unlike the US where they give you a $200 phone for free for activation and signing up for a plan, in China you have to buy $200 then pay for each minute you use. Phone prices are just about the same when you use the exchange rate. In addition, the language will be set to Chinese and it make not support your phone company. The SIM cards aren't the same. I've brought my Nokia over to China and they can't use it by switching SIM cards.

Performance and cost wise it may be good, even better than any branded mobile phones. But there is one dangerous parameter in all the mobile called Specific Absorption Rate (SAR). This is the amount of RF energy absorbed by the human brain tissue when exposed to RF field which is radiated by the mobile when it is in call. In India there is no control over the SAR, but still all branded manufactures would have got the certification from the regulatory body (you can see the actual SAR value in the user manual). But i am not sure this china mobile manufactures got the certification from the authorised regulatory body. So i dont prefer to buy china phones...

As far as I know, cellphones made in china or if you buy cellphones is China, it is least expensive... they have nokia factory there sooo...
